What is NatureFlex?
Our home compostable plastic wrap bags are created using NatureFlex?, a speciality packaging film developed by Futamura made from cellulose, which is derived from wood pulp sourced from responsibly managed forests.
NatureFlex? films are essentially a form of transparent paper, with technical attributes that closely resemble other cellulosic materials as opposed to conventional plastics. The wood pulp carries FSC? (Forest Stewardship Council?) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) Chain of Custody certifications.
NatureFlex? is both biodegradable and compostable having been certified by T?V Austria to the OK Compost Home standard for home composting.
